A Haunting poem from author Christine Cunningham!
Haunted House
'Twas Halloween night
and all through the home
were scurries and scratchings
and whistles and moans.
I shook in the room
hunched over in fear.
I knew that my doom
was horribly near.
Thunder rumbled
and lightning flashed
I tried to run swiftly
and into a wall I crashed.
Evil chuckles
closed in from behind.
The impending terror
fooled with my mind.
A horrible scream
escaped my mouth.
Then a friendly
hand pulled me from a
Haunted House.
(This poem was inspired by the haunted houses I've attended this year. Spooky stuff!)
